24.09.2013 The Novel Explorations Pushing Robust e-VLBI Services (NEXPReS) project concluded in June, 2013 after three years of ground-breaking technology development funded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme. NEXPReS made significant improvements to the European VLBI Network (EVN) services and pioneered in high-bandwidth, high-capacity networked storage on demand, a work package lead by Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory.
30.09.2010 In early September Metsähovi joined the international e-Callisto measurement network to monitor the Sun's broadband radio bursts in the metric and desimetric scale.
08.11.2009 Metsähovi Radio Observatory takes part in the International Year of Astronomy (IYA 2009) session organized by the IVS community with a special astrometric observation with a record of stations participants.
27.04.2009 The European Space Agency (ESA) will launch the Planck satellite in May and Metsähovi Radio Observatory is extensively involved in the project.
